I am level 2.

Need a level 3+ in Alpharetta GA to delete some red light cameras. There is a UR in the vicinity for the same issue. I drove through that intersection an hour ago and while there’s red light camera signs there, there’s no red light cameras in any direction.

Both cameras on S Main St at Old Milton Pkwy need to be deleted. So technically this is a delete request, but there’s no forum for that is there?

Street view shows red light cameras, as does Google Maps street view. So…in order for them to be deleted, I’d like to see a video of the intersection driving down Main St from Marietta to Devore streets. You can email me the video to txemtwaze@gmail.com

Again, I drove through the intersection an hour before my post and there are no red light cameras there.

Could you tell me the age of the images you’re referring to and a link to them? There are traffic cams there, but no red light cams.

I went to google street view for that intersection, but I don’t know how old the images are.

It looks like the Google map images are from June/July 2013 and April 2014. Looking at the Google street view I saw traffic cameras mounted on the lights but I didn’t see any red light cameras mounted nearby. I can’t make any edits but just wanted to chime in with the dates of the Google street view and my observations.

Those are NOT RED LIGHT CAMERAS!!! Any camera you see on a red light, hanging between the lights is NOT a red light camera. Those are traffic cameras.

I understand the difference between the cameras which is why I said I didn’t see any red light cameras and only saw traffic cameras at first. I didn’t see the one further back that you have linked to and would have to concur that the red light camera remain unless the OP can provide current video showing it has been uninstalled.

The one’s in Tennessee are MUCH closer to the traffic lights hence my original oversight. Thanks,

That’s why I’m asking for video evidence of the intersection before removing the camera.

Thanks for the image link, txemt. That’s a different style camera (pole mount) than the city uses elsewhere on Old Milton Pkwy.

I’ve redriven that intersection and the pole-mounted cams are still there. My bad, please disregard my request.

Not a problem. That’s why I was asking for video evidence. A lot of people think red light cameras sit on the top of red lights, when in fact, they don’t. I am very stubborn when it comes to deleting red light cameras, because they’re a pain to put back into the app when they’re gone.

I know what you mean. I delete a dozen false cam reports from the map every day.

This particular city almost exclusively uses the type on the overhead arm. Guess they were trying to be sneaky here. Because of course, it’s all about safety. :smiley:

Those cameras on the same wire as the red light is NOT a red light camera, that’s a traffic camera and/or motion detector for turn lanes, as well as an emergency signal. Georgia does not have front license plates, so putting a RLC there makes no sense.
