Lowered both this segment and the adjacent segment whose unlock was requested in a separate unlock thread.
Always best if multiple adjacent segments can be submitted for unlock together using a multi-segment permalink in just one unlock thread, rather than in multiple single-segment permalinks in separate threads. This has come up already, but I think this request may have been submitted before then. No worries!
While this section is unlocked, I would recommend adding PLRs for the Black Bear Diner, the Jiffy Lube, and the 76 as well. Those are all corner destinations and it can be a big asset to routing when Waze knows how best to reach a corner destination.
We did talk about combining and I do believe that was after I submitted these requests. But I always appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Thank you!
Nice work. What is happening with W 15th? Did you mean to close it to eastbound traffic?
It is possible to get carried away with PLRs. On first glance another reviewer coming along might say there are too many here. But the presence of the physical median barrier (almost invisible in the aerial imagery) changes the equation dramatically. All the PLRs on this block look necessary to me. Good!
A couple of comments:
In general, fewer junction nodes are better than more junction nodes. Waze can measure average traffic speed more accurately if it can do so over a longer distance. 5 meters is the absolute minimum distance allowable between junction nodes for Waze to function properly; but, looks like there’s a 4-m segment in here. I would recommend reviewing this block to see where you can combine junction nodes. I see a couple of spots that look like good candidates.
Although the Jiffy Lube has a roof, the road really does go through ![]()
Except for closing W 15th to through traffic all the turn restrictions look exactly right to me. Once you’ve reviewed that, and the other things above, I’ll be glad to relock!
I went ahead and made the adjustments that seemed called for. In particular I enabled through eastbound traffic on W 15th, as I couldn’t see any reason to leave that closed. If that was a mistake please say so!
Sorry I have been away. Thank you for making the adjustments. I’ll pay closer attention to the junction points.
