In Nottingham,
I’ve got a short stretch of Queens Road east which is currently closed, and is creating some confusion for users, and multiple UR’s.
The road is currently locked to 4 and will need a closure added until September 5th (05/09/15)
The stretch is the A6005 from the Tattershall drive junction, up to the University Boulevard junction.
At this current point in time, the A6464 University Boulevard Westbound from Dunkirk island can only turn ‘Left’ onto Queens Road East Westbound, and the A6464 East bound from the A6464/B6464 Roundabout can only continue straight onto A6464 Eastbound towards Dunkirk.
Any users that have driven this particular stretch will understand the closures,
and after consulting the Nottingham Council Roadworks update, this is due to close on September 5th (05/09/15)
I hope this information is of use and in the mean time, I have added a Left turn restriction from the Salisbury street junction with Queens Road East A6005, to temporarily apply a diversion to current routing.
First off, we really need a Permalink - a direct link to the affected segments in the Waze Map Editor. You can find information about Permalinks (and other things I will mention later) in the Wiki. There’s a link to the UK section in my signature. For now, I managed to find the correct segment here from your description.
I couldn’t find it on the Nottingham Council Website. Their roadworks page uses a link to Roadworks.org and I can’t find any works listed on there either.
Now this isn’t directly a problem - I’m definitely happy to trust the word of someone local - but I went to look because I’m a little confused.
If I understand that correctly, the segment of Queens Road is only closed northbound? Although open southbound, it’s only currently allowed for traffic turning left into it?
If that’s correct, I can add a real time closure northbound only, that will take immediate effect. For the southbound, we’ll have to set a time-restricted turn - and that will take a few days to “go live” when we get the next map update.

I assume that this is the site you’ve already found, but if you navigate to the University Boulevard/Queens Road junction on the interactive map, you can see the yellow warning ofr roadworks that run until 05/09/15.
Firstly, as regards the yellow warning on Roadworks.org and the Nottingham Council website: these are not referring to the road closure at all. For a start, they’re in the wrong place. Then, the yellow colour indicates that they are low impact roadworks. “Some carriageway incursion” suggests maybe a lane closure or reduced width - not a closure at all.
I’m quite sure the closure isn’t shown on either site - which is strange, because I have found other information about it. This page and this PDF on the Nottingham Unversity website, and this site about the tram works all list the same details.
The closure is only at the junction and runs from Friday 24th July for “approximately 3 weeks” - which would be up until August 14th. Queens Road East isn’t actually closed northbound, but you can’t go through the junction northbound. Also, as you say, there’s no right turn into Queens Road East.
I’ve made 2 edits. The first is to close that last section of Queens Road East northbound only. That might present some minor routing problems for anyone living on that segment - but that will be very few people. In the meantime, that closure is active now and is visible in the app.
The second edit is to restrict the right turn into QRE until 15th August. Unfortunately, that change will not take effect until we have another map update - probably a few days. (See status.waze.com). Until then, keep an eye out for any URs - you can explain that we’re aware of the problem and the app will update in a couple of days.

I’ve noticed a few minor issues in the area: a few segments that aren’t connected at both ends and some over-mapped car parks. Nothing too serious! If you haven’t found it already, The UK Wiki has some useful information (link in my signature). I also suggest you have a look at the WME Validator script: although some of the things it highlights are just for information, it’s a very useful tool for editors of all experience levels to identify problems on the map.
