Could somebody unlock these segments of Racetrack Road? I need to fix some turn restrictions on roads that I split/unsplit, and there are several unnecessary nodes to eliminate. I’m the AM for this area.
Why is Racetrack Rd split? It doesn’t meet splitting qualifications for such a small section that’s split. I believe that one side needs to be eliminated and it becomes a single two-way segment.
Not sure, it was like that before I started editing. I was considering combining the sides but hadn’t had any problems with it. Let me know when it’s unlocked and I’ll take care of the changes.

You haven’t done anything wrong. It’s those that have gone before you that have. We’re discussing if that road really needs to be split. It doesn’t meet the requirements for being split, at least in my opinion, so I’m getting different opinions from 3 other RCs and one other CM.

And these as I can’t unsplit it while these are locked:
All roads in Maryland (at least outside of Baltimore City) that have even a slight bulging of the double yellow lines were split in the base map. They all show as split on the State Highway Administration maps and I suspect that this data or data from the same source is what was used as the basis of the TIGER data that imported. So for a road to be unsplit, someone had to make the decision that the work to unsplit was necessary.

Ah, now it all makes sense. I’ve noticed that on the grid maps. Somebody relocked them before I had a chance to edit them, can you unlock them?
Those are fine and can remain that way. That’s not a split road, those were created to satisfy GPS points and SRs that say “roads are too far apart” because people are making the turn before the actual intersection between the minor highway and the primary street. You can leave those segments just how they are.
That is highly unlikely. Those segments were created in Jan. 2009. They show on the statewide grid maps that trooster10 mentioned. They were almost certainly part of the base map.
IMO, they’re still good, though.
Agreed, spankdog fixed them and jondrush locked them. I think everything is good now, right?

Yes, consider Racetrack Road finished. I won’t be able to drive through and test it until a few weeks from now. I doubt I’ll find any issues as it’s a pretty straightforward layout but I sometimes overlook mistakes.
