The following link shows a segment that does not allow a left turn. This creates a navigation issue where someone that is navigating right will not get indication to turn right also someone will not be routed through this interchange properly coming from Rangeline Rd South to I-10 West. The way the roads are designed on this entire interchange do not allow for a turn indication when using either of the I-10 off ramps. I have a suggestion on how to fix this issue. Remove the overlapping roads on the ramp roads (North and South I-10, under the overpass) and create a junction at each one. (4 total).

At the segment below, There are two wazers reporting that Waze is directing them to get off at the Canal street exit and then directing them on side streets to Water street (May be faster due to traffic at the time?) This is not the most direct route as driving up the 1/8th of a mile to the Water street exit would be faster and more direct. I have noted that there are no disallowed turns causing this that I can see.

I’ve taken care of this one and you can mark it solved at your convenience. The one with the Water Street exit, though, has me puzzled. I tried numerous routes in the live map and all of them came up with Water Street as the best route. The one that offered multiple routes offered Canal Street as a second choice with the same time/miles as Water Street, so I’m inclined to think it may have had more to do with the user’s final destination and/or traffic that day than poor routing.
Thank you for your help. The Water street ramp would have a backup of traffic at most daylight hours on weekdays. The traffic would push them to Canal street. I am very familiar with this location. Thank you for your help.
On the first issue, the problem appears to be bigger than I first thought. The other ramp will invariably have the same issue. Either the overlap will need to be removed creating 4 junctions on the ramp road (more complex) or both turns should be allowed at each junction of the two I-10 off ramps at the ramp roads. This will give a turn indication when approaching the off ramp. Basically do the same thing you did on the West bound side.

The thing is, there really shouldn’t be an issue with the way Rangeline Road and I-10 are set up. I ran a route across it on the live map and the instructions say “keep right” at the initial command to exit the interstate. The reason the through-route was marked with a red arrow before was to keep Waze from causing people to exit the interstate and then get right back on, which is possible with that kind of collector/cloverleaf type interchange. There’s a detour prevention mechanism in place now to prevent that, so it’s no longer necessary to restrict any paths.
I don’t have a whole lot of experience with more complex interchanges like this, so I’m going to do some reason before I make any more changes. The entire cloverleaf does not seem to be set up in accordance with the guidelines in the wiki, but those guidelines could have changed since the wiki article was last updated.
Edit to add: I changed the cloverleaf design to match what’s in the wiki, since I didn’t find anything to contradict that information.
That is exactly the way I pictured it. I did not think of waze running you back up the other side of the ramp in an effort to detour you from traffic. Though fun when I was a teen, driving all the cloverleafs at an interchange is not what I want when route guided these days. Thank you for all your help.
