Need to update these two ramp names, should be slightly modified to match style and abbreviation guidelines as well as the roadway more accurately.

They should be named:
to I-95 / I-495 / Wilmington / Philadelphia
to I-295 / NJ Tpke / Delaware Memorial Brg / NY - NJ

This ramp name should be updated to match the style/naming guidelines for DE, as discussed here: http://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=575&t=54067

It should be renamed to:
Exit 5B: DE-141 N / Newport

Thanks!

Updating names and changing to freeway/freeway wayfinder also.

Is there a reason these turns are restricted?

I don’t know why they are, but they definitely should not be.

Shouldn’t the road type be ramp since it’s a wayfinder segment (to avoid the client printing out “to I-295 etc etc” on the screen?

Fixed the first one. I’ll let Weezer answer the second one, since it should work either way.

If they’re ramps then they don’t show thick on the map and at higher zoom levels it can look like a gap in the highway. Some people complain about the gap. Some people complain about the long wayfinder names showing on the map. Its a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. Both issues are mitigated to some extent the smaller you make the segments with the wayfinder names.

I try to make freeway-typed wayfinders 10 meters long. At that length I have not seen one pop up on the client screen and in the editor they are not so small that you can’t find it.

Freeway/freeway seems to look better to most people and has the benefit to give “stay to the left/right” for both instead of the “stay to the left” and “exit right” combination that isn’t appropriate in many cases.

For the ramps, some segments were set to all different lock levels, including level 1, so almost anyone was able to mess with the area. I tried to bump up some of the locks but I didn’t notice that restricted turn.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I agree with the sentiment that the ramp-type wayfinders look pretty ugly on the map, but I always hated when it showed up. I will change a few other wayfinder segments I’ve done for freeway/highways in a similar fashion and see how it looks/reacts in the client.
