I assume these segments need the City added to them because while my address of 318 Cedar Hollow Court, Lebanon TN, appears on the Waze Editor, it doesn’t appear on the Live Map nor allow anyone to find my address. I have added City to the segments in my area that allow me to edit, but these segments require Level 2. Therefore, I’d like to add City to the entire Coles Ferry Pike road.
Actually, in this case, since the segment is outside city limits, you should not add the city name to the primary road name, but instead add an alternate name with the city and street name. I’ve added it to the segment in your permalink but unlocked another section of that road for you to update those. I’m not sure how far your editing area goes, but I can unlock more, if you’d like, just ask 
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I did update the next segment. The problem “could” be that for 50 yards the roads are the same, so I added both as Alternate Names, should that work?
Also, for all of the streets heading North I added City, now seemingly an error, but I want to remove City and add Alternate Names as you stated, but it won’t allow me to remove City and says it’s required. Is that a different level as well? Thanks so much.
It’s not wrong to do that, but usually we would just use the name of the road as addresses show them (plus any road numbers as alts, such as TN-31 or US-66). As for not being able to set the city to “None” once set, that is by (recent) design: once a segment has house numbers and the city name is set, the city name can not be removed (a segment must have a street name before house numbers are allowed to be added). What started this path was simply my new address doesn’t show on Live Maps and my friends and family can’t find me at my new home on Waze. Apple Maps and Google Maps have ignored me completely, so I decided to update Waze myself to encourage any visitors (to include UPS and Amazon, etc) to use Waze to find me. But despite all my updates to the streets around me and adding house numbers, I’ve noticed that Live Maps can’t find me. What’s weird is I can fine it using my Mobile Waze, but others can’t find it. And maybe this isn’t the correct place, but any suggestions on how to fix my problem? Thanks again for your coureousness and quick responses.
Live map isn’t a good representation of the app, it almost exclusively uses third-party results in lieu of the internal Waze addresses (WTF, right?). So there’s nothing that you can do to get it working properly on live map except share the lat and long of your address and search by that. Also, I’d say if they have your address saved in their history, that can affect it, too; they should remove that and then try searching again (though it will take a few days for the addresses to update and reach the app).
