Hi there. Actually, we can’t put house numbers starting with a letter directly on segments in WME (WI and northern IL are the only two locations in the world that apparently have letter prefixes). So the unlock will not help.
There are two ways to fix your address. The first it to create the address in the app when you are home. To do this, hit the orange bubble on the Waze map, Select Place, it will offer you the option to take a picture of the front of your house, then click the “This is a residential place” followed by entering the street name, in course case it’s CH-E, Waupaca, WI and then enter the N1302 for the the house number. The app interface should allow the letter prefix. Confirm the correct location on the map, and the click done.
Then respond here and I can make sure it gets approved.
There is a second method we can do through the editor interface, but it’s a bit more complex and since this is your home, the app will be the easiest.

Thank you for your prompt response! I’ve submitted 2 add place requests, one for my house (N1302 County Highway E) and my next door neighbor (N1316 County Highway E). Thank you for your approval.
Looks like you missed the step of selecting “This is a residential place”, so it created it as a normal place. However, I was able to use an alternate method that should make it search correctly.
You will want to find and remove any prior search entries from the app before trying a new search (find the entries, click the ‘…’ and slect remove. I made some modifications to normalize the entries.
Should I perhaps re-submit without skipping the residential place so that it searches properly?
I expect it will work fine the way I’ve set it up. No need (just future reference).
I resubmitted both my home and my nextdoor neighbor’s addresses, along with 2 other neighbors, properly selecting the residential option. Please delete the previous submissions I made in which I missed that residential step.
Done. However, can you go back and change the cities for each from Lind Twp to Waupaca? The township auto-populates as it’s the legal location but the USPS city should be used for addressing.
Also the location of your house ended up near the corner and will not route to your driveway. You should be able to edit these within the app.
I’ve not been able to locate where I change the cities or adjust the location in the app as you’ve suggested.
Sorry, I misled you on that. Residential places can’t be edited like normal places from the app and with the letter on the address, the editor interface won’t let me fix them. We may want to go back to the original method of using an “other” type on a standard place. If you want, I can create those for you and you could attach pictures later of you so desire.
Let’s then go ahead and replace the places I added with the “other” type of standard places like you’ve suggested. If you can take care of this with your editor access, then I’ll add the photos back later.
Done. I also requested Google Maps address pins for a couple of your neighbors that didn’t have them (though we’re rather everyone use Waze)
