Level3→L2 Unlock: Melbourne Airport (Exit to Terminal Dr to

My Level: 2
Reason for request: The exit mentions nothing about the “Melbourne Airport” which is the only naming I can see on BGS.

I’d also like to pose the question regarding where turn instructions are received for this exit. It seems the exit lane starts a long way back, and I’m wondering how a Wayfinder might…fare here. For another time thou.

Can you unlock so I can add a BGS relative name to the exit and also adjust the 44 degree angle showing as yellow JAI,

Dropped.

The next segment along also has the same name.

I agree that the name of the segment should probably reference the airport. Currently the only reference is the “Suburb”, which is not used in announcements. It is probably important to retain the Terminal references also, since typically, one will know which terminal they are heading to for their departure or pickup.

Hi,

I have fixed the exit angles. It was this it is now this

I have set the angle to ‘exit’ if you think it should be something else let me know.

I have added Melbourne Airport to the exit name, removed Terminal Dr (I could not see a reason to keep it as it is not referenced by the BGS at all) and used a symbol of & in place of ‘and’ to reduce the number of characters the exit has to display. Terminal Drive is still a named segment further on, so it is not completely gone. There might be a reason to include it, but it does increase the size of the ramp name.

The extra naming is removed from that ‘next’ segment as it did not appear to offer any value. Waze will grab what it need for directions from the +1.

Please re-lock if all is well.

Looks good to me, including the angles adjustment. I also think that this possibly needs to be moved back along the freeway a bit in order to get the prompt earlier. Lakeyboy is usually pretty good/consistent with his edits, so he may have put the junction where he has because that’s where the ways separate based on the line markings.

It is probably worth leaving for awhile, and seeing if there are any URs for missing the exit.
