Reason for request: So I can try and fix my UR. I’m thinking of joining the four split roads, then I can disallow the u-turn.
I have dropped the four segments at the intersection. U turns are not permitted in both directions. How do you propose to fix this intersection?

The style you are referring to is called a bow tie and is only to be used as a last resort as per the wiki.
Back in the day, waze editors used bow ties a lot because u turns were banned and so bow ties allowed us to prevent u turns whilst allowing other turns. But as the u turn at intersections policy was changed, bow ties was moved to the last choice option for the above reasons.
As I said PMG. And I thought I was clear on this. Do not make any changes to the intersection until we had finished discussing the topic.

I will now try and put the intersection back together roughly how it was, but it will not be the original shape. This is a very good example of why we always use the example of measure twice, cut once and always, there is no rush in making changes to the map. Better to get it right the first time and do it once.
I have re-set the intersection and turn in and turn outs as close to what it was before. At least the parallelisms are back to how they were before.
Can you answer a question for me? Did this u turn occur as the first segment of the route, or after a re-routing/change of route?
It instructed me to perform a u-turn, however u-turn not allowed so only turned right and re-routing occurred.
