Reason for request: Want to add a ‘keep right’ lane to improve routing from the Mancunian Way onto Ashton Old Road, and make it instruct 'keep left for traffic going straight head. This junction catches a lot of people out as it’s easy to be in the wrong lane and being so busy here it can be difficult to get into the correct lane by the time you realise if at all.

Be careful that the “keep left” doesn’t get confused with an instruction to turn into Fairfield St.
Actually I’d be inclined to change the present “keep left” for Fairfield St into “turn left”, there’s not much of a deceleration/exit lane for it. Then make sure the new keep left/keep right is well before it.

Done. For some reason the angle check script isnt working, but it looks like it should give the keep left/right instructions. Also made the turn to fairfield St a ‘turn left’
You’ve got the “keep right” but not the “keep left”.
The reason is that Waze regards the left fork as the natural continuation, because it continues the same road name.
So if I rename THIS segment “Mancunian Way” instead of “A635 - Mancunian Way” then it should make a Keep Left instruction?
Yes, that works, although drivers may now wonder why the “A635” has been dropped from the verbal instructions.
An alternative solution would be to leave the names after the split alone, and create a short (5m long is ideal since anything shorter upsets Validator) un-named segment immediately before the junction.
Since Waze will have no decision to make at the start of the short segment (there being no alternative route), it won’t issue an instruction so the (blank) name would never be “spoken”. And since it’s short, nobody will notice the (missing) name on the map.
