My Level: 2
Reason for request: want to add a right turn ramp.
Levels lowered.
Make sure you attach it (called an “at-grade connector”) so that it get the railroad tracks warning.
Please reply here with a new permalink when you’re done.
I think that should do it. Permalink for lowered segments: https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lon=-73.53343&lat=45.64253&zoom=7&segments=70694316,523710625,523710624,523710620,64683128,523710622,523710621
Thank you.
Is there a preference where the at-grade connector attaches? The Wazeopedia page gives a few examples where it’s the same node for both directions.
I updated the turn restriction so the lock can be raised.
It should be the “gore point”, which is where the lane is no longer accessible from the main road - just like a highway exit. Usually this is where the solid line starts.
However, do not put a name on the AGC, for two reasons: you don’t want it seen on the map in the app where it could be confusing and you want to make sure you get a turn instruction where it starts.
Here, we could attach them both at the same point, so I did that. The joining point is usually not important.
Sounds good… I actually thought the name would be good for the same reason highway exits have them.
Ramp names never appear on the app map to avoid clutter.
With no name on a segment, the Waze algorithm will adopt the name from the next segment for instructions.
