Reason for request: Latest GSV shows this slip as just M60 Ring Rd (W)
GSV not helping these but i let a level 5 decide, changes requested as part of a UR In that area

Happy to change ramp names, since they only appear in directions and not in the road names on the app map. Don’t think it matters that two ramps leading to the same roads have different names, it’s only reflecting the signage. So I’ve done the first set.
Not so sure about the second request (your edit). This is the main line of the motorway, not a ramp, so any name we pick will appear on the app map, and also be used for reports. If we start changing the name of the M60(CW) to reflect signage, it will keep changing all around Manchester. In particular “Ring Road (W)” will clockwise south of the city, and anti-clockwise north of it.
I’ll see what other senior editors think.

Edit: also (having now noticed the short wayfinder before the junction), the M60 (CW) name currently applies right through the junction from before it to after it. This will cause detour avoidance to kick in, reducing the chance of an off-and-on via the roundabout. Changing a name as suggested would break detour avoidance (although it might be possible to reinstate it using alternate names).

I agree with you about not changing the main road name its pretty obvious when using this road network which direction you going in etc, jonv-uk raised the report so I have suggested he makes comments in here but I be happy to mark this solved
