There are a couple of reports Here. It looks like there is a new layout which has been drawn up but there may be something missing?

yeah I keep trying to get over that way. Has to be out of hours though so I don’t have to pay for the tunnel.
This is the only map I can find, which looks almost like what we have, but we must be missing something.

Looking at both google and other sources it looks like that m ain roundabout is actually no longer a roundabout. I suspect that the majority of Waze riased reports relate to previous gps tracks as compared to the current layout.
I have posted a question to one of the user comments so lets wait and hope someone gets back to us.

I’m not at my PC right now so I’ve only been able to look at a couple, but it looks like all of the new access road layout is mapped in far more detail than we need to verify/modify the layout in WME…
The main issue seems to be with Sorrells roundabout which I can see in far better detail on http://edocs.thurrock.gov.uk/AnitePublicDocs/00130459.pdf
Looks like we are missing a link from the westbound carriageway to the Sorrels. Otherwise looks to be pretty much there.
it looks like we have the most accurate mapping of it compared to other sources, but its only 30 minutes away so no harm

EDIT: Got the car started YAY - It’s a mess there, traffic cones, tempoary access and all sorts. Mainly we need the access road from the westbound carriageway to the sorrells, but its locked to L5, so if someone can add or unlock I would be grateful.

I’ve done the bit we do need. There were no U-turn signs there so ignore the MP’s.
Locked up to four, I need to take a trip during the day though it really is a mess. Might go tomorrow (still waiting for drive to appear)
Battery was low tonight, so didn’t manage to record my own trace either, but when I get down there next I will drive as much as I can and record the KML.
There is another area with similar issues to the north, so road trip time I guess.

Well, it is not just London now. A whole barrage of “Map Problems” have burst onto the areas I manage. Hundreds of them. Off to fix them but I’ll keep an eye here JIC.

I have rights over a small amount of SW London so will try to help out with some.
However, I do find a lot of legacy L4/L5 locks whenever I start to look at London - like so:

…or at least I assume they’re legacy as I can’t see any obvious reason for them.
London is more likely to contain legacy locks, particularly in the SW, as much of it was done long ago by dknight212.
Also note that the locks on many major routes in London are higher than the recommended level - we have had a couple of major incidents in the last couple of years where “tourist” L3 editors have done serious damage.
… and we had two editors last year who did countless edits in SW London (David’s home patch) and we locked loads of minor highways and primary roads, and some unclassified roads too, once we’d repaired the damage caused.

Will I be helping by dropping a note on all unanswered URs I can see in Landan asking for more info, whilst it’s fresh in the reporter’s mind, or best leave them for a local editor to start a conv ?

I’m getting as many done as I can, but so far none of the ones I’ve commented on have had replies. I do try to close them after 7 days but feel unwilling to do other editors ones (some of which are over 10 days with no replies).

with the piss-poor age of the aerials, coupled with similarly decrepit gps tracks being used for these weekly MP sweeps, I daren’t do much more than ask the user what they saw, in a hope that either they’ll reply before I lose access to the area or a local editor swings by.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, at least for mine feel free to close them.
I haven’t really been able to edit for a week and would deal with any that need dealing with, so any with my name on, over seven days, close it.
On those, I’d just drop a “Since there seems to be no further progress here, do you want to close this UR now?” to prompt the original editor.
