Long Term Construction Road Closed One Way still not fixed

I had reported a map issue and got an email that it was fixed and on the web map it shows fixed but on the Waze app it is NOT.

Here is the email I recieved:

I am having to constantly add road closed for long term construction and it only lasts a few hours.

I have attached two screenshots showing the road closed in the morning and then later that evening it is no longer closed.

Please fix.

Moving this to the California forum to get you some local help.

Only Rank 4 and up editors can add long term closures in the editor. Other users can submit a form to have the closure reviewed, approved & added. So, as a Rank 3 editor AdreNalinGuY may have submitted the form & the closure just hasn’t been approved yet. HOWEVER, it usually considered best practice to document what an editors does to resolve the issue as a comment (which you should have been emailed like the “solved” notice) before closing.

Since this UR was closed more than 7 days ago, we can’t pull it back up and see the history there.

Thanks, chris5a, for the wonderful detail and links. I’ve closed the span of the causeway, for eastbound traffic only, through April 30 2016.

The Vallejo website you referenced says it should open in “February”, but in my experience it is a blue moon when these things complete on schedule, and besides, the complaints that come in when Waze routes into a closure are usually more unhappy than those about a road that’s open again.

Assuming it does open before April 30, you’re absolutely welcome (and encouraged!) to correspond in this thread again to alert us to remove the closure.
