This morning I looked here:

I turned on connectivity arrows (“A”) and saw a slew of turn restrictions. This doesn’t make sense at all but I don’t know this neighborhood. Can anyone say which, if any, of these turn restrictions are valid?
Just remember, basemapped “unknown but open” turns show up as red also unfortunately.
Ah, Syracuse … yet another of the cities that I’m hoping that someone else gets to before I run out of other stuff to do in upstate NY! :lol: The other main one would be Buffalo :shock: – the rest of the more major upstate cities are either pretty much done (Jamestown, Ithaca, Binghamton, Albany, etc.) or being worked on by an editor or two already (Rochester, Utica, etc.).
Actually, I hesitate to edit much around Syracuse, Buffalo, or Albany primarily because I haven’t been there much, and it has been many years since I was there. Utica is the project that I’m currently working on, as I spent 8 years living and/or working in Utica-Rome (although that ended 5 years ago, I still remember it pretty well).
I do see that john-cole has been busy doodling multi-lane railroads all over Syracuse, for no specific purpose or reason (since they’re primarily freight lines, it’s not even an issue of stopping “commuters on the train” … it’s just edit-grubbing, hate when people do that … but I’ll make sure that it will be remembered when the time comes that he wants a bigger piece of the editing pie :evil:). It’s too bad, since he could have spent all those hours actually adding value to the map by working on the road system that’s in such bad shape there.
I cleaned up a few junctions with railroads while I was at it.

What’s wrong with Buffalo? It’s not looking that bad these days.
Also I created a UR on I-81 a few days ago, I think near Fort Drum somewhere. The road had a wrinkle in it and I never got any confirmation whether it was fixed or not.
At the same time, the entire route between Syracuse and the border was rife with “Proceed to highlighted route” and disappearing route lines but that’s nobody’s fault.
Haven’t been to either Buffalo or Syracuse in WME lately … just cruised by Buffalo, looking a lot better. (The last time I was there, it was littered with hundreds of UR’s.) Syracuse is looking better also … still has a lot of streets that need some attention, though, in regard to direction, turn restrictions, etc.
I’m working on I-81 northward from Syracuse to the border … I’m only as far as Central Square at the moment, but I’m hoping to get some more done up there later today and will look for that wrinkle near Ft. Drum.

I have been working on all of the Turn Restrictions in the Rochester Area that I have access to the past few weeks. How do I get my map editor level raised? and where do I go to request to be an area manager?
