This afternoon Waze routed me off the M4 Siverwater Westbound off ramp and back onto the M4 Silverwater Westbound on ramp at about 4.50pm. I thought Waze was designed not to do this? Can a higher level editor take a look and see if any changes have been made to allow such a route suggestion. This is the first time it has happened.
He changed the green arrow going thru the intersection to Red, which is great and will do the trick, but you are actually legally allowed to go straight thru the intersection from the middle lane(you can go straight or turn right from the middle lane). My issue was I’m sure I read somewhere that Waze will avoid taking you off a freeway off ramp and put you straight back on the on ramp.
Can you have a look at this on-ramp at the start of the M4, since i’ve been using Waze(1 month) it has never offered it. Live map has no interest in using it even if you put the pin just before it. It’s the main way to get on the M4 when travelling south on Concord Rd, (not in peak hour, the current option that is given down queen st is) but at all other times this is quicker. https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=151.09499&lat=-33.86681&zoom=8&layers=133&segments=231581810&env=row
I have pulled apart and redone the ramp connections, lets see if that works now. Out of curiosity, do/have you driven on that ramp so Waze can get speed data for going that way?
Ok, once the tiles are updated i’ll see if I can get some data onto it, although i usually run down Queen St in the arvo, I guess i’ll have to take a couple for the team!!
