@McLarenMCL38 can you please share the permalinks to segments that should have MPs? I’ll help to investigate the issue.

Here are some examples of Mexico:

@dalfassi Further to our meeting yesterday (reg: checker with Aziz) this has been pending and the current scanner is not very efficient at finding long term map issues.

For your reference.

Here is an unconnected node on a major highway that has been undetected for years: https://waze.com/editor?env=row&lat=9.92293&lon=-0.40305&zoomLevel=18&nodes=276845755

Here is a new road added by me 3 weeks ago. Detected manually by me today. Very often long, new roads will not connect when drawing them. So every time I check that the ends are connected. Somehow some connections are either overlooked or seem ok when checking, but become not ok afterwards. Anyway, here is an example that should have been detected by the Map Problem Search: https://waze.com/editor?env=row&lat=7.90851&lon=-2.42310&marker=true&zoomLevel=17&segments=457405495

https://waze.com/editor?env=row&lat=5.62134&lon=-0.23108&marker=true&zoomLevel=20&segments=309690182

I just fixed this one. It is a one-way ramp that was disconnected in one end. Not detected as a MP since November 2024.

Another example of a genuine editor mistake sitting for more than 9 months.

Thank you for your examples @McLarenMCL38 @CuttySpark. I have added them to the internal ticket for further investigation. The issue is still being examined.

All the best,
Olesya

Hello @McLarenMCL38,

I’d just like to provide you with a quick heads-up:

There is going to be a fix that will release approximately 1,3K Map Problems in India.

The fix is scheduled for Saturday, May 24th, 11:30 AM IST. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you and regards,
Olesya

Thank you,

Will let you know when we see them but right now WME and WME Beta are showing the went wrong image.

Hello @McLarenMCL38,

I have checked it on my end and I do see 1000+ MPs in India.
I’ll be awaiting your confirmation.

Kind regards,
Olesya

Hi,

We see 639 all showing Missing Address for roads without segment name and address.

13 have been resolved and we are getting on it now.

Hi,

Can you refresh and check the numbers? We did some editing as a team and only see 166 pending now.

Thanks

Hi @McLarenMCL38,

As for the open ones, I can only see 9 MPs. Do you see the same number on your end?

Kind regards,
Olesya

Hi,

It’s zero now. We resolved them all. Are there any further updates coming to map problem finding?

This was great as a lot of map problems were identified from 2018-19.

Thanks for all your work on this.

Hello there,

I keep getting amazed by your dedication. :sparkles: I’m not aware of any updates planned for problem finding, but I will make sure to share your feedback with the team. This is indeed great input worth considering when planning changes in the future.

Kindest regards,
Olesya

Thanks, it’s a team effort. Right @Danit2B ?

We have a different thread open on identifying segment nodes that are within 5 metres of each other but not connected. This is done by default on validator but could be done natively on WME as a lot of times it’s a MAP PROBLEM that needs to be resolved.

We have had many routing issues due to nodes not being connected despite visually looking like they are.

Thanks, we will keep an eye on new MPs populated.
