Is this a…:
Standard bug Steps to reproduce this issue:
Open Map Suggestion
See that the person suggested a House Number on a unnamed parking lot road segment.
I assume that the person signed into WME and as a new user could not add on their own so made the map suggestion. Selected the parking lot road by their building. Entered house number. Hit save.
Also added some words explaining they wanted each building addressed with a letter.
Playing around with this a bit. I have found that you can add a name to an unnamed segment and then add the HN even if the road name is not saved. Then submit both edits in one save.
This allows people to improperly suggesting a name roads that should not be named and then add HNs to unnamed roads.
Looking at it initially it says to Apply or reject this suggestion and the HN is very visible as “the suggestion”. Would be better to say suggestions…
Thank you both for your feedback. I have tested different workflows as well. Indeed, the addition of the street name activates the “Add House Numbers” button; it won’t work the other way round, so most likely this would be working as expected, it might not have been made clear previously.
I will provide an update once this is confirmed by the team.
Also. It is interesting that speed limits for each direction and unpaved suggestions are listed as three separate edits to be approved one at a time but street naming and HNs are one combined edit for map suggestions.
