Hi Ian, Id love to join the mentoring. I am a long term waze user but a newbie to the map editing side. My main frustration with it is I cover Hundreds of miles locally but cannot seem to work out how to edit basic things like speed limits without finding them locked and I cannot seem to work out how to get them unlocked. 1 specific place I have reported numerous times on the app in the 3 weeks since it changed but I cannot edit it myself. Please help LOL
Hi there, sorry about the delay, but I am still struggling to get notifications when someone posts on the new forum.
Anyway, as you have been editing (officially) for a while, I canāt add you to the official mentoring program, but I have added you to the mentoring forum. There you will see various training presentations and videos. Have a look at these and then feel free to get back with any questions you have.
Hey there,
I got enough energy to start again and help in UK (been active a couple years ago back in Slovenia). So, Iām back to L1 and I wouldnāt mind some help getting up the levels here, too.
Kind regards
Just seen your post, as you have been editing for a while, I can not add you as a mentee, but I have given you access to the mentoring forum. After you had gone through this, any questions, feel free to contact me or post in the forum.
Afternoon Ian,
Having heard about the mentoring scheme during the Waze Local Meetup Event on Saturday I thought iād jump on and see what it was all about.
Iāve been editing for a little while now and although I admit my editing has been some what sporadic over time, this is something iām keen to improve on.
I see the mentoring scheme is only open to new members so that probably rules me out, however if thereās any further semi-formal mentoring opportunities available that I would be eligible for, iād love to be considered.
Thanks,
Elliott
Hi, I have added you to the mentoring forum: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1992
In there you will find some presentations. Have a look at these and then any questions, either post in the mentoring forum or PM me.
If you have any specific areas you would like more information about let me know.
Thatās great - thank you
Hi, Iām new to Waze editing (L1) and would appreciate it if the mentoring is still ongoing.
ThanksDave

Hi Dave
I have now sent you the invitation to join the mentoring group and the link to the forum. Have a look around and then let me know if you have any questions
Hi - woodvale put me onto you -
I would like to get quickly up to speed with Waze editing.
I wondered whether you, or another editor, would be willing to spend an hour or so in person anywhere in London going through the editing system on Waze and sharing your knowledge and experience with me?
I know this might be a bit of a cheek, so please understand this is only a shot in the dark request!
I would like to be able to help make Waze as up to date as possible at all times. I think this would be one way of achieving this.
If not, could you suggest other ways (no pun intended) in which I could achieve this?
With grateful thanks

Hi there. While I have nothing against some one-to-one training, there are a few reasons why this is not practical at the moment. ![]()
The first issue is that you are brand new editor, and I would want to see some actual editing that you have done, that I can look over, so that I can judge the level of training you need.
Second, as you may be aware, at the moment we have a problem where new editors at L1 are not actually able to edit the map. Until this is resolved, you will not be able to do anything.
Once the issue with L1 editors being able to edit has been resolved we can discuss this again.
In the meantime, I have added you to the mentoring forum: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1992
In there you will find some presentations and links to some training videos which you can look at and hopefully these will give you a good start.
I would also suggest you read the UK Wazeopedia as this has most of the information you will need to make sure your editing is correct.

Hi
I am very interested in being mentored. I am very new to this and am just starting out. My extent so far has been to add a few places onto the map in my local Kent area which I think I have done ok as I havenāt heard any different and they were accepted. If you have the space and time I would appreciate it.
Cheers
Simon
HI all, I have been a bit busy recently and have not been able to pick up any more mentees. However please donāt let that put you off.
We have now changed the mentoring forum to open access and so you do not have to wait for me to add you to this. Please go ahead, read the presentations and watch the video and then if you have questions, post them in the forum or send me a chat message and we will answer them all as best as we can.
How do I get Involved in assisting, I have completed the online editing learning, and would like to help.
