I have driven over 3000 miles in the last few weeks and my points have risen by less than 30! It would be useful to be able to contact Waze, but the ‘Help’ pages are like a circular door - round and round and round without taking you anywhere. Please, how can I contact Waze direct? It’s not as if this is a matter of life and death, but I would like my points!! Thanks.
Hello nuttin,
Welcome to the Waze forums.
Usually we advise to search the forums before opening duplicate threads. Most often people would find an answer by just doing that. However on the particular topic of “missing points”, even though it is well documented, people open so many new threads that we are probably near the 100 duplicates count.
Therefor, let me spare you what would be some very annoying search time, caused by people not following advice and forum rules…
Just quoting from another topic:
List of things usually recommended:
- You should also check if they are correctly synced in your Dashboard.
- Verify that Waze hasn’t announced a delay in updates here.
- It’s also important to read the Google Waze help articles on points to make sure that you understand how they work, here and here.
- Make sure that you are looking on the correct server for your points, see this article.
- Note that you’ve been driving a VERY LONG distance, this article says that for long trips your recent drives may take up to a week (but I’ve seen it take up to two weeks) to show up.
- You can view your most recent recorded drives in WME on the left menu panel, under the “Drives” tab, if they’re there, your points should follow shortly.
I know this sounds like a lot and you already said that you were frustrated by this. In all the cases I’ve seen when this issue was brought up, the points arrived in the end by doing nothing more than just waiting.
So my advice to you from your post is that you should just wait some more (at least 48h more). But in the meantime I hope the links above will be useful to you somehow if you want to check them.
I can save I’ve encountered the same as well. I dove close to 100 miles on Nov 21st with the App running. I submitted reports, thanked and was thanked multiple times yet my drive(s) did not appear and have yet to. I’ve also noticed some drives since does not appear yet others have. I drove thirty miles yesterday… Nothing. Very frustrating.
My drives on the 20th through the 22nd did not show up. There may have been a server issue. And look! The sun came up this morning! The world is still turning! And Waze is still free! This generation of “entitlement” makes me frustrated.
Despite all the excuses about server delays and cycles, I am still missing 400 miles from my drive list more than a cycle ago. One particular drive that did show up shorted me 110 miles, then just skips to another drive several drives later.
I also have noticed this since about middle November
Did you submit the problem to Waze? Pretty sure this has been linked to multiple times in other threads: https://support.google.com/waze/troubleshooter/6270803?rd=1
I’m glad someone else has brought this up… I’ve driven several 200+ mile days over the past several weeks, and some days are only showing 10 or 20 mile segments… I generally try to keep Waze running onscreen, but sometimes it’s running in the background.
For example, I pulled up WME for Nov 24… I drove from Nashville TN to Chattanooga TN and back (a 300 mile day at least) and I used Waze as my navigation, but in the Map Editor it’s only showing me driving a total of 80 miles that day…
I also made sure to keep Waze up on my phone this week, driving at least 500 miles so far and my points are sitting at 118…
Something has not been working correctly at least since the end of November.
And yes, I did my part in trying to report it… and got;
"We are aware of delays in receiving points because of a load or an issue with our servers.
Please allow up to 7 days for missing points to be readded to your account. "
Well, it’s a bit past 7 days for November issues to catch up…
So, you are after the medal or a t-shirt? :?:
Sure, we all understand that the points are worthless, but they do have some entertainment value.
I can confirm the other observations that the system has had ongoing problems since Thanksgiving weekend. Some drive segments just are not recorded and don’t show up on WME and the points simply haven’t been added. Of the 15,000 points that I should have earned in the last 4 weeks, less than 5000 have posted. It is also obvious from the lower scores on the weekly ranking list, that this is affecting many other Wazers.
It would be great if there could be an official acknowledgement of the problem. The suggestion to check the Status Page is wortless - nothing there except the daily map updates.
Yep, I agree. My observation has been that it seems something has happened within the last few weeks, either the drives are not being properly recorded or else they have changed their scoring algorithm. I drive 80-100 miles per day and was routinely in the 400-500 points per day, 2000 points per week has now gone to less than half of that. Not only do the updates occur less frequently but when they do occur they are missing significant points. I hope they get it fixed.
If scoring is your major then maybe Play Station or Xbox is for you. Most of us here are to go to work and back home with minimal interruptions kind of crowd.

Why are you even participating in this thread then? His, and thousands of other users are voicing a concern about points due and negligence on Waze’s behalf. If it was about the logo color would you troll that too? Some people care, you don’t, so save your opinion of other’s opinions. If Waze put as much effort into copy/pasting some lame response about passing the blame back to users they probably could have fixed the server issue by now.
I don’t see
reporting this. Yes, there many. But “thousands”? Take your own advice and
I am missing a lot of points. Over the past month I have driven at least 1,000 miles with my waze app open but am not getting credit for them. During Thanksgiving I drover over 800 miles but only earned about 2,500 points. Include the reports for 6 points each and I’m missing even more. I can’t determine what the problem is. Why am I missing so many points?
Ugh. Explain how/why you and others who “don’t see” or “care” about this issue decide to waste our time and interject into it? Do us a favor, if you have a relevant opinion for this thread other than trolling, please offer it, otherwise, take a walk. In the meantime, this issue persists, since my first post several cycles ago, I continue to be missing additional hundreds of miles and thousands of points.
Me too. I do care. I’m affected as well. I have several drives and many points not showing up. Plus I’m an editor. Those points are slow in coming as well. But I know that sooner or later things settle down and points come in. How dare you assume you know my concerns. And why are you so easily upset by such trivial things? Perhaps you should look into that.
With all that has transpired with this thread, let me just say relax. Waze are working on many issues on the server side. They are updating servers with new stuff. Plus dealing our issues. Relax. You’ll get what’s due you.

The Waze scoring problem was just an observation and it looks like I’m not the only one. I don’t have time to play Xbox nor do I have time for 478 posts on a forum but thanks for the advice. Best wishes.
My goodness what a confusing forum. Anyway, I’m experiencing the same problem. I just got back from a 3000 km drive and my posts have been stuck since December 23rd. Why in the world is that??? I want my driving and report points!!!
