For your consideration:
I suggest an upgrade of the MLK blvd exit street out of Wilmington onto I-95 from a primary street to minor highway. This is one of the main exit routes from Wilmington. My reason for the suggestion is because often Waze will route a person along the parallel Second Street (A minor highway) then dog leg down to MLK blvd and then onto 95. Perhaps upgrading MLK will prevent that.
Segments in question (the right-most segment is locked at 3)

Interestingly, a route coming south on King Street shows Waze’s preference to go straight over making turns, so it does the right thing when coming from this direction, so I don’t think it will take much of a nudge to get other directions to do the right thing too.

The UR on this is actually from me.
Follow up to this and just for reference… I ended up raising MLK Blvd to minor highway but it didn’t make a difference in routing, so it must really be that much faster to run up Second Street a few blocks and then do a left-right down to MLK Blvd when exiting town. Will have to keep that in mind!
just a quick FYI…I have been doing the FC upgrades in DE and both MLK Blvd & 2nd St are both now classified a MH. The routing hasn’t changed either.
Yeah. I noticed that. I also later timed the lights. It’s definetly faster to go up Second and jump down as Waze says. You miss two different reds that way. I need to learn to trust the data.
