I am the homeowner of 35 Shawsheen ave, Wilmington, MA.
We built the home in 2015, but for some reason, most of the mapping apps out there (Waze included), has my address (35 Shawsheen) pinpointed at my neighbors house (33 Shawsheen). My home is the house with the long driveway to the immediate left of the home that is pinpointed currently (See attachment).
I am now in the process of trying to have this corrected with all the tech companies, as I’m tired of picking up my packages at my neighbor’s house.
I am a volunteer Waze editor. I have made some edits to your address which will fix the navigation to your house in Waze.
This error occurred because the address you entered was not in Waze. The system asked Google for help and it received an incorrect GPS marker which placed your destination at the location you were taken. In any event, I’ve added this address to Waze. That will take a day or two for Waze to update my edit. Your old search will NOT refresh so you’ll have to delete and re-do the search. This includes favorites and presets like “home”. I’ve also asked Google to fix their error and that may take some time, but the Waze entry should override the Google marker. Thanks for your report.
