There is a private gate located at -81.06431 35.11718
This is the East gate of a secured apartment complex. The gate opens automatically for Eastward (outbound) traffic, but to travel Westward (inward) it requires a remote that is only available to a subset of residences in the apartment complex to the West of it.
The West entrance to the complex is a gate at -81.06802 35.11742. This gate requires a remote or code in both directions but is open during business hours. Calls to apartment residents can also be made at this gate allowing the public to travel through.
I would like Waze to not suggest routes through the first East side gate.
I lack the kung-fu to try to setup a gate properly so I’ve changed the small segment through this East gate to a private road.
Would this be sufficient? If not could anyone assist?
First off, GPS coordinates don’t help - you need to post a Permalink to the gates in question.
What City/Country (or City/State in the US) are you in? We can most this to one of the country/state specific forums to get you some local help with this (different countries handle this differently).
Welcome EmTree! Let me make sure I understand correctly, the east gate can only be entered through by some residents (not all) but everyone can exit, whereas everyone can enter and exit through the west gate. If so, there’s a few changes we’ll want to make. Also, if you’re interested in joining a chat for all SC (and South Atlantic region) editors, please PM me your email address and I can get you added; might even make it easier to work on this problem together.
