Need to report a road closure on 12th st nw in Canton, OH

Road will be closed for 9 months starting today.
12th St will be closed directly passed the 12th st entrance into the hospital until Stadium Park Dr NW for 9 months. See this page for a diagram https://www.cantonmercy.org/locations . This should be have automatically created since it was placed by Stark county engineers and ODOT.

Starting around May 22, Canton will close 12th Street NW between Monument Road NW and Mercy Medical Center for nine months so the contractor Beaver Excavating on behalf of Canton and Stark County can replace two crumbling concrete bridges by Stadium Park with steel beam bridges as part of an approximately $10 million project, said Canton City Engineer Dan Moeglin.

The bridge to the east goes over the Nimishillen Creek and the second goes over another body of water. That section of 12th Street will be re-aligned to smooth out curves, and sidewalks will be built on the north and south side, Moeglin said. The workers will dig a tunnel under 12th Street NW allowing those using the West Branch Trail to cross the street without having to wait for traffic to clear.

Thank you for moving it, I seem to recall that I used to be able to go into the map and suggest a closure, at that point an editor would apply that, but it doesn’t seem to be there anymore.

Unfortunately it seems that the closure is a little too aggressive on 12th street. The closure doesn’t start until right after the hospital but Waze has it start directly at the intersection. I don’t want someone driving to the hospital to be routed around for 10 extra minutes. See the images I originally posted, it’s open on 12th until after the hospital entrance.

You can go to waze.com/livemap to report a problem, but posting in the forum is also a good way.

Unfortunately, the only way to move the closure down 12th St past the hospital entrance is to remove the closure, cut the road, wait a day or two (or several days) for a tile update, then enter the closure again. We don’t have the ability to close partial segments, only full segments in the map.
