Hello. I have a request to add a new street as a part of a newer development in Harrisburg, PA 17112 (West Hanover Township).
Current maps show one of the roads - Rock Ridge Ave. The new two-way street off of Rock Ridge is Hidden Meadow Ln. Attached picture is a rough sketch of the road, including our new address (to the left is a circle. Right side is a culdesac). I tried editing myself in Waze map editor, but then realized I don’t have the appropriate rank to save, and not sure I’d ever get that many edits.
The developer is Gemcraft Homes - they may have a better site plan including all addresses on Hidden Meadow, plus another new street in a phase they’re building now. Somehow I doubt they’ll be willing to help, given all the issues I’ve had with them. So what is normal protocol in this situation? And please let me know if there’s any other information that would be helpful.
I have added Hidden Meadow Ln, it should appear in the app in a couple of days. I checked Gemcraft’s site and I don’t see a site plan. But they are nice looking houses.
If you’d like to continue editing, then we can certainly get you started, but if not, then posting like you did is the way to let us know of what needs to be done, and we can take care of it.
Sadly looks can be deceiving! Haha. Way too many issues so far, and they have been especially poor on the communication side (weeks or even months for them to answer simple questions!). So I appreciate your extremely quick response!
I’ll walk down Hidden Meadow later to get neighbor’s addresses if that helps. Then I’ll communicate to HOA that they can request a street add for the other new street they’ve just started building.
If they respond slowly to punch list items, then that is not good.
There are 5 addresses already listed in the GIS system (yours included), and Waze should interpolate the others to get you close. We can add them as they become available.
And yes, feel free to let us know if anything else needs to be corrected or if new roads become available to drivers, and we’ll make the updates. I see Cold Spring Rd and Royal Terrace Dr listed in GIS , are either of those the next to be added?
Awesome. You probably already have it through GIS maps then, but found this on the county site if it helps to identify locations. I added my “extremely professional” graphics to delineate roads. And the arrow is the general section where they’re building. Of course they haven’t told us anything, but if you’re seeing Cold Spring Rd, that must be the new section.
I’ll be on the lookout for the map updates in a few days, and test it out too. In the meantime, please let me know if I can help track down any other info for this neighborhood. Thanks!
Those are the same maps I found, so everything should be correct when the update hits the app hopefully tomorrow. When those new sections open, please report back here and we’ll add those new roads.
