Love the name! Welcome aboard.
Feel free to let us (me!) know if you have any questions… happy to help!
Lots to learn. If you’ve seen the basic 10 minute youtube video about how to edit… that doesn’t much represent what we do - most roads already exist in the map now, so we go around fixing & improving things on the map. Adding “point places” (i.e. stores, restaurants, schools) can also be very helpful in many areas of the state.
Look forward to working with you!

Hello,
I’m happy to help. I am quite familiar with my town (Montgomery) and surrounding area (e.g. Westfield) however Waze says that I can’t edit a road only about a mile from where I live because it isn’t on one of my routes. I don’t use Waze locally because I know where I’m going and also there is rather horrible cell coverage. I’m happy to contribute but feel restricted.
@KTCAOP Thanks … I added some shopping / services to that plaza we chatted about on US 202 in Westfield MA a few days ago.
Even though you know where you’re going, use Waze anyway. You’ll expand your editing area, and you may also start to wonder why Waze is routing you a particular way. You might find new routes to try, or uncover map issues to fix.
And don’t forget that Waze knows about the “hidden” traffic jams that you don’t. I literally don’t move my car without Waze (well okay I might move it around in my driveway). It knows the things that I don’t, plus it gives me the chance to enter issues on the roads (police, etc.) as I drive - to help other drivers (and get points for myself).
But like mudge42 said, it’s a great way to learn about how it works.
