I believe you can just set the “opening times” on the more information tab to be on Sunday from 12:01 AM to 12:02 AM which would effectively close it and then post a [NOTE] that the parking lot is closed for construction.

when I click on “View nearby parking lots” after doing a search -
It seems that if there’s a lot operator attached to the lot, I get the parking lots listed as:
Lot1-Operator Name
Lot1-Street Address
Lot2-Operator Name
Lot2-Street Address
etc. No mention of the business or lot name.
If there’s no lot operator then I usually seem to be getting a result such as either
Lot3-Operator Name (“SP Plus”) <–seems to be used when there’s no operator provided in the PLA
Lot3-Street Address
or occasionally
Lot4-Lot name
Lot4-Street Address
It seems that the displayed name (first line in the PLA option) in the app should probably provide the PLA Name rather than the Operator, especially since many operators in our area operate a multitude of lots which are otherwise unrelated.
So, Are we going to do something with this or continue the ostrich game?
Your RC should be aware of the latest info but there is no update since the last one.
What I should have said is is there an eta for us to get to actually do anything with parking lots. But I guess the same answer that I’ve had. Waze “soon” front burner…

Mentioned above, but I want to elaborate on an important missing data fields in the new PLA object.
Parking lots generally fit one of three categories, which should be captured as a PLA data field:
- Public
- Customer only
- Private (employee, permit-only, etc.)
Related, there should be data fields linking the PLA to another Place, so that #2 and #3 can function properly. These fields would create a many-to-many mapping between PLAs and Places: a Place can have several PLAs, and a PLA can serve several Places.
A simple example: St. Luke’s Cathedral in Portland ME is on State St but has a private parking lot behind it, accessible only from Park St. Someone routing to St. Luke’s should be offered the Park St PLA, while someone routing to a business on Park St should not. Coding the cathedral’s PLA as “Customer only” and linked to the cathedral’s Place would allow this check.
This! I’ve already seen URs and Flags due to Customer-only and Private lots.
