NJ - Waze is providing wrong directions from his house to his proposed destination

This happens all the time no natter where I am when I propose a trip from home that requires northeast travel from the near end of my block. Instead of making a left out of my driveway, waze would have me make a right and add about 1.3 miles onto the trip, only to pass by the end of my block anyway. Start at 103 Fox Hedge Rd, Saddle River NJ 07458 and go for example. To whole foods in woodcliff lake NJ

Nothing wrong with the map.
When you start moving, does the route correct itself? Waze must make an assumption on the direction you are facing until you start moving. It often assumes your still facing in the direction you arrived and routes in that manner. If you exit the way you arrived, you’ve made a U-turn that Waze doesn’t know about until you move. It’s a common problem when you just start Waze but are traveling in the opposite direction that you arrived.
