Become a Waze Event Marshal
Waze supported an impressive 70,000 traffic events in 2025, thanks to our dedicated community and the Event Marshals! They are level 4+ editors who lead the management of traffic events in their countries. They also serve as the direct link between the local community and the Waze Global Team. Severe floods in Southeast Asia
Following severe floods and landslides in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, local communities, along with the Waze Crisis Team, added shelters and road closures to the map. Successful global Map Raid in India
Congratulations to the India Coordinator, McLarenMCL38, for organizing a successful global Map Raid for level 2+ editors!
Together, participants mapped and verified 12,408 gas stations, 580 school zones, and fixed 10,461 map errors! A special thank you to asterix06 and iredisni for their help in managing the raid. The Rajasthan map in India is better than ever thanks to all of you!
New voices!
We launched two new TTS voices in Taiwanese Chinese: HUI-CHU and TIEH-HSIUNG. These new voices take Waze’s translation for Chinese-speaking users to a new level! Many thanks to the community, who helped name and test the voices.

February Office Hours

Global Champs Meetup
87 Global Champs from 40 countries met with the Waze team in Athens, Greece, for an epic weekend filled with workshops, exciting updates, feedback, collaborative learning, and lots of fun!
Local Meetup in Israel
Our oldest community gathered at the Waze HQ in Tel Aviv to connect and share mapping experiences. 90 editors and team members enjoyed insightful product presentations and great conversations!
Other meetups and Waze Cafés also took place in Brazil, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, USA, Czech Republic, Netherlands, and the Philippines. See the photos.
