Waze supported a massive 70K traffic events in 2025, thanks to our dedicated community and MTE Marshalls! MTE Marshalls are L4+ editors who lead traffic event management in their countries. Severe flooding in Southeast Asia

Following severe flooding and landslides in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, the local communities, together with the Waze Crisis Team, added shelters and road closures to the map. Successful global Map Raid in India

Congrats to India’s Coordinator, McLaren, for organizing a successful global Map Raid for L2+ editors!

Together, the participants mapped and verified 12,408 petrol pumps, 580 school zones and fixed 10,461 map errors! Special thanks to asterix06 and Iredisni for helping with managing the raid. The map of Rajasthan in India is better than ever because of all of you!

New voices!

We’ve released two new TTS voices in Chinese Taiwan: HUI-CHU and TIEH-HSIUNG. These new voices will take the localization of Waze for Chinese speakers to a whole new level! Huge thanks to the community, who helped name and test the voices.

Global Champs Meetup

87 Global Champs from 40 countries joined Waze Staff in Athens, Greece for an epic weekend packed with workshops, exciting updates, feedback, collaborative learning and lots of fun!

Israel Local Meetup

Our longest-running community gathered at Waze HQ in Tel Aviv to connect and share their mapping experiences. 90 editors and staff enjoyed insightful product presentations and great conversations!

More meetups and Waze Cafes also took place in Brazil, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, US, Czech Republic, Netherlands and the Philippines. See photos.
