Since I work for myself, visiting several customers all around Mexico City’s metropolitan area, the “work/home” paradigm doesn’t fill my needs.
I have many “favorites” on Waze, and I want to know if there is any way I can classify them. For example, one folder for “Clientes”, another for “Family”, another for “Friends”, another for “Suppliers”, etc.
Is there ay way I can classify them instead of having a long “favorites” list?
There is currently no way of organizing the list into folders. You can reorder the favorites, so you can either alphabetize them or even put them into groups as you logically would put them. Still a big long list, but you can reorder them to have the top as clients, then the next several are friends and family, and so on.
Agreed, we need a better way to organize favorites. Even if we can search through our favorites. Waze would grow even faster of people start using it to visit customers. Still brilliant though. Makes my daily driving move fun…
Hi all,
I couldn’t find it anywhere. Does anyone know how many favorite items I can have in my list? I would need more than 1000. Is it technically possible to add that many favorites? Is it limited by the app or my phone memory?
If anyone knows the answer for this it would be real helpful.
How many contacts does your phone hold? If you have an address attached to your contacts, you can get directions from them. It is on the end of the search screen, just scroll to the right.
I have only a few favorites and these are working fine but I want this for my work. I do service bus shelters and each one has a GPS coordinates and a number. If I need to do a service I would just tap on that one in my favorites and the waze would navigate me straight there. And I do service for more than 1000 bus shelters in our city.
Wow, well, yes, that would be nice. Why don’t you start adding them and see what happens? It sure would be nice to be able to have favorites organized in folders!
On my iPhone, I have a notes app, when I put in an address on it, I tap it and it goes to my google map app. I wonder if I didn’t have my google map app, would it find Waze and dump the address into it?
Or is there a way to tell other apps to search waze for an address instead of the installed google map( or soon to be iMaps)
Not at this time. The calling application can invoke waze by using a properly formatted URL, but this means that the other application has to be waze aware. If they are just calling the native show on map calls… it will open google maps as that is the built in application bundled in for this.
If you store the favorites in the iPhone Notes app with the properly formatted URL, it should launch Waze, just like getting the link to a destination or favorite via email or txt.
How do I alphabetize my favorites? (While I’m asking, is there a website or ebook or something to teach me the deeper ways to manage My Waze?) Thanks in advance.
Is that an iPhone only feature?
Wait, if I actually read the thread, I see it was iPhone only back in 2012. Makes me feel better about not being able to find it.
