Recently, someone split more of Alafaya trail, where the split starts off by Curry Ford Rd. When they split it and added the second lane, they forgot to add all the intersections and turns creating a big mess which I think I’ve got fixed up now.
I remember splitting Alafaya Trail back in the day. It was more of a hassle than what it was worth and only created problems. I later recieved a private message from DonJ2 asking why I split the road. Long story short, I un-split it and he locked it down so only Level Five editors could only edit the road. If its possible, un-split the road and get a Level Five editor to lock it down before it turns into our worst nightmare.
Personally, I’m in favor of putting it back “un-split.” As it stands currently, there seem to be many problems created by having it split and I also noticed several blatant errors (i.e. where the mapped roads deviate wildly from the aerial imagery).
This is going to be quite a task. Obviously, once you begin, make sure and leave it in a decent, navigable state if you need to walk away and won’t return until after the next NA map tile update cycle.
I was the one that split it this time but if you guys want I can unsplit it in the morning and you guys can verify it and lock it then. I thought it would be more convenient splitting it but I can see how issues can arrive since I didn’t have the proper level to modify and fix many things.
