As a regular Waze user, I am concerned as to why our road has disappeared off the map recently. Apart from emergency services and the general public who may happen to use this excellent and normally accurate forum to find places I’m disappointed to see that Ford road Emerald Victoria Australia has recently changed to Ulmer road. Ford road turns off Ulmer road to the right and both roads are no through roads. Could this oversight please be rectified?

Hi John,
Thank you for reaching out regarding Ford Rd, Emerald. I’ve had a look and it seems that we had named this road Ulmer Rd back in 2015 when we initially mapped it, but there hasn’t been any changes since. Thanks for alerting us to this error, I’ve gone ahead and fixed up the name and it should be visible in your app within the next few days.
This would not explain your road disappearing off the map however, is this in relation to Ford Rd or another road? You should be able to see the road on the live map here.

Thanks Brandon for addressing this. It is now properly displaying as Ford road and not as Ulmer road.
I didn’t mean to infer that the road literally disappeared but rather the road name. I have lived in Ford road for 30 years now and have been active on Waze for at least 2 years. I was sure that, when I asked Google to " take me home" it was listing it as Ford road on the Waze map up until recently but now you have me second guessing myself. Incidentally only recently, Waze ( of its own accord ), changed my car icon back to a bus which I haven’t used for at least a year now. I wondered, at the time, whether I had received an automatic upgrade which has also changed our street name.
I hope all this makes sense.

No worries at all, can certainly appreciate when you notice multiple things at once that there is always the chance they are linked to one big issue. I’m glad we were able to get the map corrected.
