I would like to propose that we add a subpage to the Places Wazeopedia
I have noticed that while trying to assist editors throughout the country on places, a lot of states do not have a list for editors to be able to see the proper harmonization of places. This makes it hard to guide a new editor in how to properly name a place per standards.
I have created this page for myself when helping editors and I think something like this would be beneficial for national standards Place name harmonization lists
While researching this I found the the following regions/states do not have a PNH sheet listed either on their region page and/or their individual state page
MAR
NER - RI (all other states have PNH sheet on their site)
NOR - No PNH sheet on any of the individual state pages
NWR - No PNH sheet on any of the individual state pages
PLN - KS, ND, SD (all other states have PNH sheet on their site)
SWR - CO, HI, NV, NM, UT (other states have PNH sheet on their site)
This could be really helpful. I wonder if the US table should be first though, since national chains listed on it would be the same on all the other regional lists. At least I think that’s how it works.
The national list shows all places no matter what region they are approved in. My reason for adding it to the bottom is that an editor should look in their regional list first since there are a few differences between regions. Thinking about it more, I think the national list should not even be included on the subpage. Having the region sheets will provide every place approved in the nation so an editor can find it if not approved for their region to ensure they are creating PP appropriately along with submitting the request to approve for their region
I think the national page will cause more confusion/mistakes than it’s worth.
