As many editors have noticed, the US leadership has adjusted the guidance for how to map parking lots. Specifically, if and how to add the aisles of large parking lots. Additional changes were made including when to map small parking lots, and how to map parking lot roads at parking garages. Please review the new guidance, and consult your local leaders if you have questions.

PLEASE NOTE: There is NO initiative to revisit existing parking lots and update them to the new best practices.
The updated best practices should be implemented as new parking lots are added to the map, and when old parking lots are encountered as part of other editing activities, such as harmonizing Waze Places or resolving user reports.
