How are we handling photo radar markings? I will provide two examples.
On the map, Corydon Westbound after Montrose has a permanent SPEED CAMERA marked.
On the map, Harrow south after Corydon has a permanent SPEED CAMERA marked.
In truth, these are places where the city will, from time to time, place their PHOTO RADAR vehicles.
Shouldn’t we be reporting each one individually as POLICE HIDDEN?

To answer your question I would say that permanent speed camera or red light camera are reported and put in the map as an object, as they are always there and not changing (at least not often).
Police showing up with mobile equipment to enforce speed is simply reported as Police. If they are visible mark it visible and if not then not.

Just for the sake of documentation, here are permalinks Corydon Speed Camera & Harrow Speed Camera. I’m not sure who is putting these in and approving them, all I see listed when I check on them is a number. There are appear to be quite a few of these in Winnipeg that will likely need to be removed. These numbered accounts usually represent deleted Waze accounts is that correct?
I want to check, as I would like to reach out to the user before changing them. I will also reach out to MushyMedic so that we can try to confirm the existence of (of absence of these) before deleting them.
In most cases the brown object is only showing with a number, that I don’t know what it means.
No need to worry about non approved brown cameras, as they expire after a while, unless been approved in WME.

So the camera on Corydon is not there. That can be removed. The person also put it down as a “30” zone which it is not.
The one on Harrow is also not a camera but it is a 30 zone when school zone hours apply.
Just noticed there is a camera up on Grosvenor too which also has school zone regulations, but there is no camera. From time to time one appears but that’s supposed to be reported as Police “Hidden”.

How to create a Permalink
I’m a little late here, but I’ll add a couple points of clarification.
When an object just has a number for the creator / last editor, this sometimes means the account has been removed, but what I’ve found is that it more often means that there was a timeout in WME’s lookup of the ID # to username. Often refreshing the editor solves this.
As for Winnipeg speed cameras, from what I’ve been able to tell, the only fixed photo enforcement is in the form of Intersection Safety Cameras (usually enforce red light and speed-on-green, in one direction only).
