Please Edit Muscat Hills Area - Exits

Hi,

Ive attached the Central Exit picture onto 99st.
Also the west exit onto bypass.

As you can see the road is there. However, Waze does not use these exits.

I think its because the “Green Arrow” is not showing when you select the segment.

Possibly because I am level 1 and you need to be level 2/3 to edit it?

Hi there, and welcome to Waze

The easiest way to help you is to attach a permalink from Waze Map Editor, with the segments linked you are referring to.

I can’t see the images you attached. So it might be a puzzle to find what you’re looking at.

Meanwhile, you might want to sign up for our slack channel? Where all GCC editors can chat with eachother and learn about editing. And also quickly ask for lowering of locks, so you can fix stuff yourself.

Thanks for the advice.

Actually, Im new. I made some roads and they are working great, as i use them everyday.

But this issue, I can not resolve. I think its due to the Green Arrow.

If you zoom in, and look closely, you can see that there actually is NO arrow at all (not a red one or green one). If you select the 99St segment, you can also see that there is no node/point, but 1 large segment, where it should connect.
This is because the segment of 99St is locked above your rank, and you can’t modify it.

Further, all your segments are show Red. That means unfinished. They lack a street name and city name. If they don’t exist, you can tick the checkbox for none.
Finally try to simplify some of the segments you’ve drawn, like these 2: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=58.30080&lat=23.57927&zoom=7&segments=340335128,340335122
Especially with all arrows green, you create 2 different ways of using the ON-ramp, which is not adding anything but complexity. And you won’t even see these in the app

Last, try to create a username. I think you can modify it within the app

Have a look at our wiki to get some basic understanding of editing the map: https://wazeopedia.waze.com/wiki/Global/Waze_Map_Editor

Thanks for the advice and links I’ll check them out this weekend.

Did you edit the areas or unlock the road for me to edit after reading the guide?

Guys,

I absolutely wrecked Muscat Hills area.

I partly created an off road, but its not complete due to L2 road.

Then i trashed the On West, and wrecked the Off West!

How can i fix this?
Have i broke the map for every Waze user or just for me?

I fixed most of the stuff but left your edits so you can fix them yourself and learn from it;)
I unlocked the offramp so you can connect the new onramp to it. Please ask for a relock after you’ve finished.
Then someone else can check your work and relock.

Remember the is only 1 map so your edits are for everyone. So yes, you also wreck the map for everyone.
Before you start editing something, first check the locks of all adjacent segments. If they are above your level, ask an unlock first, before you start.
That’s why we user slack that gives faster responses

Hi,

I think this is OK now for the West Exit.
The West ‘On’ is a little bit sloppy, buts its a L5 so i cant touch it.

The 99st ‘On’ and ‘Off’ also need some tweaking. They are different segments, can someone unlock them both too?

The 99st to MH is L2.

The MH to 99st is L3.
