Points of interest

Hello
It is possible copy Points of interest to a folder, like i do in TOMTOM.
For example in TOMTOM i have a .ov2 file and a .bmp file with the same name. These two files has the information for the coordinates and the icon of the POI.

Thanks in advance.

This is not possible. Waze does not have a POI database local to the application.

Can you not find these POI’s by looking them up with the many POI sources in Waze 3? Google, Bing, Yelp, FourSquare, etc?

There exist “Landmarks”. Can i search for landmarks? What is with the data in the landmark “Details”? If there is an adress?

Greetings

Landmarks can be given names in the map editor. Those are searchable on the waze results.

But Waze doesn’t care about the Details, which were given in the editor.

How about adding your POIs into your favorites folder? Of course, you’d have to know which POIs you’ll want to put in that folder ahead of time…

POI are very helpful and on this side Tom Tom is still better than
Waze.
Hope in the next future the developer team will add to waze the ability to store
personal POI into a local folder.

Bye
Claudio

I have a privacy-sensitive POI-list in OV2 format.
It’s a list of over a 1000 locations. I need it work-related. Is there any way of having a local-only places list? I’ll be able to convert this format into any needed format, but I cannot upload it to any public servers. It cannot be part of the public waze-places.

I don’t know any way of having a local-only place list.
