I’ve used Waze with good results man times, but today it got the location of a business wrong despite a specific street address, and I discovered after a quick look at Google Maps that twice it sent me on much longer routes than the best one. There are no closures or detours according to the people I visited who live in the area and know it well. Has Waze been hacked??!!? I love this app but if I can’t rely on it not to send me 15 minutes out of my way, I’ll never use it again.
I mean… I’ve had similar things with Google Maps where I was routed way out of my way o_o.
Did you submit a map error at the time? Do you know what streets it may have been telling you to avoid? Would you be able to tell us how you entered the destination in Waze (address? Name of the place? This does make a difference)
LucQui2 - I would love to know roughly where you were going to / from. We can try to recreate your routing and see if we get the same routes, and determine what would be the more efficient routing. I look forward to hearing from you.
