I recently received a message that says:
“Your drive-based editing areas will expire on the 63rd day - stay connected with your local community!”
Can someone please explain what this means exactly?
Will I lose my editing areas completely after 63 days, or is there a way to keep them active?

“Editing areas based on your drives” is the important bit. This means your drive history now expires after 63 days, not 90 as before. Your editable areas that are based on those drives will now be removed after 63 days. If you keep driving in those areas, the timings will be reset.
If you have a managed area assigned, these will not be affected.

There is no explanation other than the message sent.
We used to have “until the end of the 4th month” to edit where we drove, which meant the editing areas expired between the 90th and the 120th day (approximatelly). It’s been reduced to the 90th day. Now it’s the 63rd day.
I also have the same question about the message saying that drive-based editing areas will expire on the 63rd day. I’m not entirely sure what these editing areas refer to or what happens when the expiration date arrives. Does it mean that the areas will be permanently deleted, or will they simply become inactive until we take some action? It would be helpful to understand why this expiration period exists and whether it applies to everyone or only to users who haven’t been active recently. I’ve also seen people discuss editing apps and options such as APK Mod Alight Motion, so I’m curious whether similar expiration rules can affect saved projects or settings in other applications as well. I don’t want to lose any existing work or settings because I misunderstood the notification.
Editing is allowed within a certain distance around where you drive. If you haven’t driven in that area for two months, access to editing that area will expire. You will no longer be able to make changes to the map without driving through that area again. Expiration of your driven area helps ensure your changes are in a place you have recent experience driving.
You will lose editing permission in those areas where you have not driven in the last 9 weeks (63 days). Your settings and everything you did will remain unchanged.
