Issue: The text associated with this segment and the other branching ramp segment, which go to the I-95 HOV lanes and I-395 HOV lanes, respectively, was changed recently. As it stands currently, the text reads simply, “to I-95 S / Richmond”, even though the ramp takes you specifically to the HOV lanes. Immediately before this junction is the branching off of the HOV ramp (which is properly given no name), and immediately before that is the branch between mainline I-95 and I-495. Soooo…

The driving directions that you get as you approach this area will either read:

“Stay to the left at I-95 South, Richmond” if you are directed to take the I-95 S mainline lanes, or

“Stay to the left at I-95 South, Richmond” followed by “Stay to the left to I-95 South, Richmond” if you are directed to take the ramp to the I-95 S HOV lanes.

I’ve approached this interchange twice since the change was made, and I stayed in the main lanes when Waze wanted me to take the HOV ramp, because the directions were confusing. Could someone please add the HOV indication back into the name for these ramps? Thanks!

(On a side note, there is an additional ramp here that allows you to get back to the I-495 inner loop lanes (eventually it will probably be an Express Lane ramp only) that is not marked on the map at all. Was there an earlier discussion about leaving this ramp off?)

Fixed the ramp names. “HOV” doesn’t actually appear on any of the signs (and TTS pronounces it as “hove”, and Waze won’t route onto these lanes during the hours they actually are HOV lanes), so I used “Restricted Lanes” which does appear on the signs. Also did the same for the Outer Loop exits to the future Express Lanes.

I added the ramp that cuts back to the Inner Loop, since the similar ramp for Outer Loop traffic was already mapped.
