[Re-post in appropriate forum] Want to make my 1st edit, but can't ... HELP?!

Hi everyone! I posted this in the North America forum, but other users recommended switching to a state level chat, which was good advice!

Apologies If I am being very dumb n00b.

I am trying to get into Waze map editing. As a first experiment, I am trying to add my AirBnb business to the map of Honesdale PA under the “Lodging” category. I just want to add a place, with an address and a website. That’s it.

It’s called The Honesdale Loft. Our website is an AirBnb page, here:

However, when I go to save the changes (literally ANY changes) in the map editor, all I see is this error message:

Can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong? This is literally my first edit ever. And please include more detail than you think to need to / “explain-like-I’m-five”, because I feel totally lost.

, which confuses me. because I am using the account I use to drive and make contributions with Waze. Not sure what’s going on here???)
Can anyone assist? I’d be super grateful.

(Also, it’s not like I am DYING to show my small business on the map. I just thought it would be a nice, easy edit, since I do own the business and know everything about it and am not misrepresenting anything. But for some reason, I can’t seem to make any edits at all? HELP!?!?!

Basically the 2nd message explains to you the reason for the first. In order to edit the map you will need to have used Waze when driving for directions as long as your Waze App is logged in with your account. The area around your drives will be permitted for you to edit barring other restrictions.

It’s not standard practice to add Airbnb venues into Waze. We can add residential place points (RPP’s) with the address. Once you arrive at the destination, you can snap a photo that will show up for others when they arrive there.

You are not doing anything wrong to get those error messages. Earlier this year Waze staff posted about the changes in what edits a level 1 editor can make. You can read about it here: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=372349
