Road name change in Yancey County

We purchased a property last year and the county has forced a name change to our road (long story concerning the previous owner not constructing a building where they promised to in order to get a certain address designation for their previous business). What was Clear Creek Ranch Drive in Burnsville, NC (Yancey County) has been changed to Otter Rock Road. Our new business is the only establishment on this road. In Waze it appears to be a street without a name currently.

I’m not sure the best way to show you the documentation from the county because I’m having trouble attaching files here, so I have posted it as a page on our website. You’ll see the official letter from the county, plus a listing and map of all the new addresses. See here:

The new addresses on this road are: 402, 403, 405, 426, 427, and 430 Otter Rock Road. Our new business is called Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat and the official address is 430 Otter Rock Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714.

Our sincere apologies that this post was missed. I’ve made all of the updates you have noted; thank you so much for providing the map and documentation on your website! These changes should hopefully go live either Sunday or Monday in the app, and should enable your retreat to be searchable by name or address (name search will technically already work, but will be improved once these changes are live).
