Thanks, however, there is nothing we can do to add roadworks to the Waze map. Generally, these will result in automatic re-routing by Waze if the traffic information shows a significant delay using the route with the roadworks.
The roadworks warnings you see in the app come from an automatic feed from roadworks.org, which is maintained by (most of) the local highway authorities. Vale of Glamorgan is one of those that don’t subscribe to the premium service, so the roadworks.org web page only shows where there are roadworks, but with no details, except where added by other authorities which do, eg the WPD works on Cowbridge High St which are due to finish on Monday.
If, however, they involve a road closure then please let us know in this forum. We added the northbound closure of the A4226 from Waycocks Cross as a result of an alert here by a local driver.
I noticed the ridiculously long 4-way control outside Darren Farm - looks like all the utilities will be running conduit and pipework up the B4270. No closures, though, and if there were drivers would be officially diverted via Pentre Meyrick and the B4268 just a mile down the road.
More useful with roadworks projects that last a while is the changes of speed limit, for example currently on the Cowbridge Bypass where they’ve just started some sort of developer works at the end of the dualled bypass portion. I haven’t been able to get over there again to check where the 30mph zone starts and ends.
