An ongoing rebuild of much of I-94 between I-696 and 14 Mile Rd. has closed ramps such that there’s no way to get onto “westbound” (actually south in that stretch) I-94 north of I-696. Yet Waze keeps routing as if the 12 Mile Rd. entrance is open, it won’t let me report it as closed, and the map has a Level 3 lock so I can’t fix it in the Map Editor.
Your message may get more attention if you report it in Waze as a map error, or start a thread in the Michigan forum at http://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=630
I won’t be much help because I-696 is outside my area. Most of the region managers won’t respond because the post did not conform to the rules.
It’s out of my area as well. If you provide a permalink to the area and mark it as L3 in the subject per the sticky in this forum, that will help get it noticed by someone who can help. A map problem report is definitely the most visible, but it should be fixed before long when posted here.
I think as a rule of thumb we should bring up long-term multiple ramp closures in the local forum. This type of update will require multiple follow-ups on future dates as the ramps reopen.
Agreed. Any closures should also be mentioned in the Michigan forum or other approved place (if we get something else) for tracking purposes so no one forgets to change them back afterwards. But requesting them to be fixed can still be done here.

I believe the entire 12 Mile Rd interchange is closed.
Both eastbound on-ramps for I-94 at I-696 are closed.
The westbound on-ramps from M-3 and Little Mack Ave are closed.
The construction zone extends to 23 Mile Rd, but those are the only closures posted by MDOT.
