Rowans Road Closure - Moorabbin

Hi, First post so please relocate as required…

Tried to add the current road closure of Rowans Road, between Franklin St and Isabelle St, and it looks like its already there.

However, it wasn’t showing on my map today when i was guided along that road by Waze, even though I reported it twice through the phone.

Is anyone else seeing the same problem?

Hi thanks for your report.
There was no closures on Rowans Rd today that I can see. I have looked it up and there is construction work going on and according to Kingston Council
“Works are expected to begin the week of 10 February 2020 and will be completed mid-year. There will be short term parking restrictions and at times full road closures will be in place”
It sounds like there are not permanent closures so I am loathed to close it for 20 weeks.

It sounds like you may have had trouble adding a closure via the app - did you click on the correct arrow which would then let you define the duration of the closure? You’ll know its been successful when you get the thank you message and 6 points.

Note that this does not always mean the closure will be visible for anyone else. From the USA Wazeopedia:

• Generally, the closure will not show up for anyone else until several other users have reported the same closure.
• Editors can become “trusted” to report closures and fewer additional reports will be required to make their in-app closures go live.
• If the editor is rank 5 or higher, the in-app closure will go into effect immediately.
