Learn how to report WME bugs and submit suggestions!

Hello, editors!

We truly appreciate your dedication to making Waze better and better! To help us address the issues you encounter in the Waze Map Editor (WME), we’ve created this practical guide to streamline and organize the process.

Why report on the forum?

Reporting issues in the correct forum allows us to:

  • Issue Triage: identify the severity and priority of each issue.
  • Tracking and Categorization: monitor recurring issues and organize them efficiently.
  • Community Contribution: allow other editors to vote on issues they are also experiencing, bringing visibility to larger problems.
  • Support: answer your questions and offer solutions or temporary workarounds.

Bug types and where to report them:

1. WME Production Bugs

  • Forum Link
  • Description: bugs present in at least one WME environment (live map, production, etc.). This forum is visible and accessible to all Waze Map Editor editors.

2. WME Local Issues

  • Forum Link
  • Description: issues specific to a single object on the map. For example: missing segment history or the inability to change a segment’s name. Visible and accessible to all WME editors.

3. WME Beta Bugs

  • Forum Link (restricted forum)
  • Description: bugs exclusive to the WME Beta environment. Access is restricted to WME Beta Pirates (beta testers).

New Feature Requests

Got a brilliant idea for a new WME feature? Share it with us on the Waze UserVoice platform! Your suggestions help shape the future of WME.

Happy editing!
