I must have missed something!
I search from an address - send Waze to address book in Iphone and enter my destination.
Fine - after some calculation, the guided tour starts.
I would like to save this route as a favorite.
I can find it under recent searches, but would like it in favorites. Once arrived at my destination I can then save it, but not before arriving.
Or alternatively - copy an address from “recent searches” to “Favorites”?

Tu fais “aller à”, “destination récente”, sur la ligne contenant la destination voulue tu appuies sur la flèche vers le bas, sélectionne “ajouter aux favoris”.

Select the item “go to”, select “recent searches”, put your finger on the arrow on the right of the name of your destination, select “add to favorite”.

Bear in mind that it is destinations that you favourite, not routes! The route is recalculated each time you select that destination!

Garde en tête que c’est ta destination qui sera sauvegardée en favori, pas ton itinéraire ! L’itinéraire sera recalculé à chaque fois que tu choisiras cette destination !

If I understood everything :

  • Waze always gives the fastest way as the first route to a destination
  • If you have this destination in your favorites, you’ll be able to get your route preference in the second or third choice of routes
  • So if you wanna use Waze in this way, you’ll have to make this route to the favorite until Waze learn it as your route to this favorite. Then you should have it in the 3 propositions of routes to this destination.

Waze doesn’t learn routes! It will calculate them when you request a destination. Receiving alternatives is unrelated unrelated whether or not the destination is in your favourites or not!

I think that between 2 favourite, Waze can learn route and show it in the 2nd and 3rd proposition. But I’m not quite sure of that, it’s what I understood from shirli.

It will not learn a route per se. What Shirli will be referring to is that it will learn the average speeds of each segment. Over time you should find that these averages pan out to give the route you would expect! Or perhaps waze will identify a quicker route for you!

Either way, it helps waze if you vary the routes you take, certainly in the early days!

Il ne sera pas apprendre une route en soi. Qu’est-ce Shirli sera allusion est qu’il apprendra la vitesse moyenne de chaque segment. Au fil du temps, vous devriez trouver que ces moyennes poêle à donner l’itinéraire que vous attendez! Ou peut-être waze permettra d’identifier un itinéraire plus rapide pour vous!

De toute façon, il aide waze si vous vous les routes que vous prenez, certainement dans les premiers jours!
