What’s New?
- Added option to automatically set PLR street and city names to “None” for new PLRs.
(Must be connected directly or indirectly to a segment that already has a State applied.)
This may be turned off in the options tab under the Parking Lot Road checkbox. - Added options to turn all road type buttons on/off individually.
- Shrank road type buttons a little to fit more on one line.
- Changed tab title to “CS” to save space.
- Fixed bug that prevented ClickSaver from displaying controls when opening a PL that had segment(s) selected.

the option to set street and/or city name to None would be handy for other road types too in developing countries with many unnamed streets. Is it possible to have this feature in general?

Is it possible to have it set any PLR to None for street when the option is checked, even ones that have already been named in the past.

Unable to find any compatibility issue with other scripts… It just won’t load on Firefox, I don’t even get the tab.
you can now also install tampermonkey for FF, and that surely will work.

With the new RR standards of not having named RR the majority of the time, is it possible to have RR set to No Street/No City when clicked (even if already named)
I think that is a specific guideline for a specific country or region? Please no standard like that, perhaps as an option.
Yes, that is a specific standard to the U.S.
A setting option would be great as well.
I haven’t really thought it through completely, but my first instinct is that clearing city / street names could be dangerous when they already exist. I think even if it was an option, it would be too easy to forget it was turned on and you could end up clearing when you didn’t intend to.
Perhaps a prompt? So if you click RR (or PLR or whatever other road types you “turn on” in the options tab when this feature is added) and the segment(s) already have a name, the script could prompt you with “Clear city / street name?”. At least then it’s only one click, and you can be certain that clearing is what you meant to do.
Any objections to that? Other ideas?

Yes. Even with current guidance being not to name certain segments, there is likewise no set program in place to remove them, and in many cases PLR segments are intentionally named to aid navigation.
If the segment is unconfirmed, we’re good with auto-checking the “none” box, but if there is a name, it needs to be left untouched.
For removing names from segments that should not be named, it’s not that big of a deal to do it the way we did 6 months ago.
There is an inherent risk in making it “too easy” to remove data from the map.
I’m not sure I see the danger. I agree that making it too easy is a problem, which is why I suggested the prompt. That would only show up if the editor decides to check an option in the settings tab, e.g. “Prompt to clear existing name / city for PLR”. In other words, they still need to make a decision, just as they did 6 months ago. It just makes it easier to carry out the action if the decision is made. If the editor doesn’t want to clear existing names and doesn’t want to be bothered with prompts, he wouldn’t check that option.
I could see an argument that this might be considered a frivolous feature, depending on how often one would really need to clear existing names vs. the annoyance of a prompt.
still thinking… I have a feeling this is going to lead to a subjective risk discussion. So unless someone has evidence this feature would save people a significant amount of time (i.e. the reward outweighs the risk), I think I’ll avoid the controversy and not add it.
That is my feeling.
We correct unconfirmed roads all the time, but removing existing names is rare.
Usually the result of a zealous new editor naming shopping center roads or private driveways.
Not having a “one click” option only eliminates two clicks.
